Lone wolves are bikers who prefer to be independent of an organized motorcycle club. The reason given for this preference usually lies in the fact that these types of riders do not like being constrained by rules, and want more freedom on their own time schedules with whom they ride out as well at what locations- there is nothing reflecting negatively against clubs when it comes down lone wolfing!
You may have heard of some motorcycle clubs being hostile to bikers wearing lone Wolf patches, but I have never experienced this myself. I've never experienced any hostility towards bikers with lone wolf patches. In fact, it is quite the opposite! I am greeted at every event I go to and there's always space for me in conversations or social gatherings which proves how honored they are by my presence as well.
An outsider who decides to challenge a mechanic is likely going have his day in the ring with them before he leaves. For all of us cyclists, it's important that we respect our brothers' skills and stand up for what they deserve no matter their color or condition - because this road is big enough for everyone!
